2nd edition of Aromashowcase

The Aromashowcase is a new program for healthcare professionals trained in aromatherapy to share clinical aromatherapy practices around the world.

From the posters received, our jury of independent experts selected 5 finalists:

  • Dr Alix Vargas uses black pepper essential oil to treat swallowing disorders in elderly people at EHPAD les Jardins de Plaisance (France).
  •  Dr. Vanessa Lejeune offers an aromatic protocol to reduce pain, anxiety and discomfort associated with dental surgery at the Federal University of Parana State (Brazil).
  • Aurélie Chesny has created an aromatic box with all the equipment needed to make aromatic preparations to reduce patients’ anxiety before they enter the operating room, but also for healthcare professionals to improve the quality of life at work in the Centre Hospitalier Bretagne Atlantique (France).
  • Dr. Adriana Nunes Wolffenbüttel uses aromatherapy to support populations affected by natural disasters. She proposes to prevent viral infections, flu, emotional shock, anxiety and stress – a project of the Federal University of Rio Grande Do Sul (Brazil).
  • Laurette Vanroy proposed a protocol to reduce constipation in the elderly at the EHPAD les OYATS, reducing the need for laxatives (France).
