Our ambition

At the heart of integrative health, the Foundation is committed to improve patient care with aromatherapy as a complementary treatment.

The Foundation encourages research to understand the mechanims of action of essential oils and its therapeutic value in mental health and in infectiology.

It values the practice of clinical aromatherapy by trained professionals all over the world.

It aims to strengthen the role of aromatherapy within the integrative health and supports the development of a more sustainable and human-centered integrative healthcare model.

Clinical aromatherapy consists of using essential oils for their tranquillising, analgesic and antiseptic properties, to complement conventional treatments, as part of the patient care pathway. This therapeutic complementarity provides better support for the patient to reduce certain clinical symptoms related to the disease (anxiety, pain) or to limit certain side effects related to drugs (nausea, insomnia).

Aromatherapy based on essential oils, high concentration natural products, is very useful as a complementary therapy. However, its use implies in-depth knowledge of essential oils and perfect mastery of their potential effects in patients undergoing several concomitant treatments
