The coordinating medical officer, Dr Alix Vargas, is the driving force behind this project. The nursing care les jardins de plaisance is a public, autonomous establishment currently housing 80 permanent patients, 14 of whom are in the Alzheimer’s protected living unit.
Since 2022, the establishment has been committed to the Humanitude label (which ensures optimum quality of life for residents and a positive working environment for professionals), and has gradually introduced aromatherapy as a complementary therapeutic approach.
Following the positive results obtained with tea tree essential oil on skin mycoses, the Jardins de Plaisance project team wishes to extend the use of aromatherapy with the implementation of protocols for scalp psoriasis, sleep disorders and anxiety reduction…
The Foundation grant will help finance the purchase of equipment and essential oils for the new protocols.
