Dr. Elena Boidi Trotti Reymond, a pharmacist and graduate in clinical aromatherapy, is leading an innovative project at the Villa des Roses psychiatric clinic, located in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon.
Committed to an integrative health approach, the clinic aims to incorporate aromatherapy among its complementary therapies as part of its 2024-2029 therapeutic project.
In 2023, the first workshop, “AROMA GO Morphée,” was established to address patients’ sleep disorders. With very positive feedback, the clinic plans to expand aromatic protocols within the care pathway, based on the 5R rule: “administer to the Right patient, the Right medication, at the Right dose, by the Right route, at the Right time.”
Thanks to a grant, the clinic will fund the training of 12 healthcare professionals and the purchase of equipment for implementing protocols in addiction treatment, pain management, and environmental sanitation.
