AFAC – French Association of Clinical Aromatherapy

The creation of this association was both essential and ong-awaited by all aromatherapy practitioners in France. They will finally be able to have an organization that enables them to gather and work collaboratively for a supervised, recognized, and valued practice of aromatherapy in an integrative health context!

The Scientific Board of the Foundation was at the origin of this association, and Dr Sabrina Boutefnouchet was elected President by the AFAC Board of Directors. On Friday 3 November, the first Clinical Aromatherapy meetings were held in Lyon, and welcomed 200 participants from all over France.

A program, structured around three sessions, highlighted several hospitals awarded by the Foundation: the project Aromapsy and the project AGORA.

Two representatives of the Pharmacopoeia Committee “Medicinal plants, essential oils and homeopathy” of the ANSM – National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products – took part in the round-table discussion on “Good practice in integrating aromatherapy in hospitals”.

AFAC already has its own website www.asso-afac.fr! The replays of this day will be available to its members.
