Dr Guylaine Laroumagne, coordinating physician, and a multidisciplinary team are behind innovative care protocols using essential oils.
Patients suffering from obesity often undergo several heavy drug treatments, with side effects such as drowsiness. Healthcare professionals are looking for non-drug solutions to improve their patients’ quality of life.

At the Bernard Descottes obesity center, the medical team has introduced aromatherapy as a complementary treatment to address a range of patient issues:

– Protocol to reduce appetite cravings

– Protocol for anxiety

– Protocol to reduce sugar cravings

– Protocol to improve sleep disorders…

This is how aromatherapy officially crossed the doors of the Centre de l’Obésité Bernard Descottes.
