Since COVID 19, Estelle Caron, dietician, and Dr Anne-Cécile Paepegaey, endocrinologist, have been running aromatherapy workshops to re-educate the sense of taste and smell in anosmic patients at the hospital.
The hospital’s oncologists are very interested in this innovative approach to helping patients recover their sense of taste and smell, which are affected by chemotherapy treatments. The AGORA clinical trial “olfactory re-education using aromatherapy for taste and smell disorders”, directed by Laeticia Paradisi, will enable the effectiveness of this approach to be assessed.
The grant funds a part of this original study.
